As an aspiring designer residing in New York City, I never envisioned dedicating my time to the study of the Criminal Justice System. However, a tragic event irrevocably altered the course of my ambitions. In November 2020, my little brother, Nick Sada, and his crew mate and friend, Davyon Rose, tragically lost their lives while on duty on Interstate 94. This incident not only shattered my reality but also illuminated the fragility of life and the systemic issues inherent within our justice system.

In the aftermath of this devastating loss, I became acutely aware of the vulnerabilities we all face in our daily lives. This incident robbed us of two promising young lives and ignited within me a profound commitment to understanding and advocating for justice. Consequently, I put my design aspirations on hold to immerse myself in the intricacies of the Criminal Justice System.

My hope is that by continually sharing our story, we can inspire others to take meaningful action, be it advocating for safer roads, providing unwavering support to victims’ families, or ensuring that individuals are held accountable for their actions. Through this arduous journey, I have come to believe that our collective efforts can contribute to the creation of a safer and more just society for everyone, ensuring that no one else endures a loss like ours.
